Tom and I were so excited to be able to go on a one-night/two-day camping trip at Henry Horton State Park this week. We couldn’t have done it without Aunt Julie coming to take care of the boys for us…brave soul. We car camped (glamped) this time around, and I loved it. We hiked 7 miles, took a rest in the tent, went out to eat dinner at the best little country restaurant in Lewisburg (all you can eat buffet for $5), came back to camp and hung out by the fire for a while, and even watched a movie. After a good night’s sleep in our comfy tent (Tom brought air mattresses for us), we hiked 3 more miles and then headed home. There’s nothing quite like being in the outdoors for me…add Tom to the mix, and I’m in heaven.
