Homeschooling: Day 23 (Unschooling)…

Today was Unschooling Day…yay!!!

The boys played with post-it notes (Roman made up a game and Jonas did origami), built a couch fort/ramp/crash pad in the play room, did some interesting computer time (Jonas played chess with a friend in a private online game room, Xander did coding on Khan Academy, and Roman watched Colossal Questions on Epic), and took a mile loop around the neighborhood (Jonas and Roman rode their bikes and Xander walked).

I did some laundry, mailed out a few packages with homemade face masks for family/friends, cleaned my closet (it was a disaster!), prepped a few things for homeschool, went for a run, and talked with all three of the boys’ teachers (I so love that they called to connect, catch up on how the boys are doing, and offer suggestions/advice…what a blessing!).

When Tom got home, we went geocaching in Triune and Franklin…we even had a little impromptu picnic dinner. This was one of my favorite finds…just for the beautiful field of purple wildflowers that we had to walk through to get to it.
